They create a sense of cleanliness in consumers, and goods packaged in paper bags are preferred in retail sales.
They are used for packaging flour, sugar, bread and bakery products, sandwiches, croissants and other products with increased hygiene sensitivity, as well as for products that need to “breathe” in their packaging. They are durable and have barrier properties – protection against moisture penetration, and their air permeability allows, for example, flour to “breathe” and stay fresh for a longer time.
They are widely used in establishments that offer take-out menus, in catering companies, in pharmacies for retail sale of medicines, even in some small hardware stores and for sanitary needs in hotels and airlines.
The bags are mainly made of kraft paper. The fibers of kraft paper are up to 50% stretchable, which makes the packages made of it extremely strong. The smooth outer surface of kraft bags makes them ideal for offset or flexo printing.
In order for the images to print well and the colors to be brighter, the kraft paper is treated with various bleaches during its production, which make it snow-white. To add a rip effect (microlines or squares), the paper is further processed after bleaching, right at the manufacturing plant.
